Tips for racing through Italy
Preparation is everything
Medium (e.g.: Flagstones) or small (e.g.: Gaul Soup) should be avoided as far as possible, as progress is slowed down considerably. But this also has the positive side effect that you can limit the number of required goods to the "Big 5" (Horseshoes, Whips, Wheels, Racing Cars, Reins)!
It is also never wrong to inform your guild members well in advance that you want to embark on the "Great Journey".
Again for two reasons:
- A friendly guild (are there others? ) is happy to help with the production of the required goods
- Maybe other members of the guild will join the race to push the guild goal higher and get better rewards.
And if you want to get really far, then you need a lot of fan flags and brown horses in Rome - you have to have the latter in stock, because you can't send them either.
Goods needed to reach Rome
How much of all the goods should I bunker?
As I said before: in order to get to Rome optimally, you don't have to have ALL the goods that appear in the race in stock!
But to be on the safe side, you need this Goods from the cities, and you can (with an optimal course) quantify them quite precisely:
And then there are the goods that you need on the way between the cities.
The type of goods is selected at random (at least I couldn't see any system). It is therefore not possible to quantify the exact number of goods required. For me, I found a quantity of 35 per product to be sufficient. However, since the number of goods required is different, here is my suggestion:
Needed goods between cities | |
(only the "Big Goods" listed) | |
175x Horseshoes | |
35x Whip | |
70x Wheel | |
35x Chariot | |
35x Reins |
Since the race lasts two weeks, these goods do not have to be in the warehouse in their entirety - they can be reproduced during the journey.
Optimal race progress
The following list can help you to get to Rome in the best possible way:
Needed goods between cities | |||
From Mile | To mile | Number | Goods |
---|---|---|---|
0 | 80 | 2 | Large merchandise |
80 | 200 | 6 | 2x Racing Glove |
200 | 400 | 5 | Large merchandise |
400 | 560 | 8 | 2x Map |
560 | 960 | 10 | Large merchandise |
960 | 1,100 | 7 | 2x Paintbrush |
1,100 | 1,700 | 15 | Large merchandise |
1700 | 1860 | 8 | 2x Chariot Jack |
1,860 | 2,660 | 20 | Large merchandise |
2,660 | 2,800 | 7 | 2x Racing Shirt |
2,800 | 3,800 | 25 | Large merchandise |
3,800 | 3,960 | 8 | 2x Horn |
3,960 | 5,280 | 33 | Large merchandise |
5,280 | 5,400 | 6 | 2x Chariot Permit |
5,400 | 7,000 | 40 | Large merchandise |
So you get to Rome with exactly 200 stages/tasks/journeys.
So that also means that you need 200x 3 carrots or apples. So a total of 600!
If you don't want to fill up your warehouse with it, you should definitely have 150 pieces per product in stock (= 2x 30 storage spaces!).
How far should I drive?
As with centurion throwing, the question arises: what do I want?
- Do I "only" want to come to Rome?
- Do I want to reach the top 500, top 50 or even top 1?
- Or do I have a personal goal?
Let's start again with the simplest: "my personal goal":
MY goal at the moment is to reach Florentia. Why that?
At the moment, this is relatively easy with daily use of 50 miles (and thus reaching the supply truck ;- ).
In addition, in Florentia you always get 3 gold wikis as a reward, which I like to use in battle.
But here everyone has to decide for themselves what to choose as a goal.
For the top targets it is like the centurion punch: the commitment of the other players is decisive!
