Tips for beginners

optimized resource extraction

Salt4.png
The amount of goods gained/found (salts, coals, ...) can be increased by harvesting goods intelligently.
Huh? How?
It works with full warehouses and buildings that produce goods (Quarry, Forester's Hut, Egyptian Pier):
In order to "harvest" these goods, space must now first be created in the warehouse. So: produce goods.

Let's take the pier in Egypt as an example. There are 16 stones there.
Now if I produce 3 stone blocks and then click on the pier, I get 6 stones back
plus a random number (5-7) of RP and every now and then a commodity (salt, coal, ...).
Of course, if I only produce one stone block and then click on the pier, I only get 2 stones back.
BUT also a random number (5-7) of RP and from time to time a commodity (salt, coal, ...).
I repeat this three times and have triple the amount of RP and goods.
This is even better in Egypt when the palace has to be built.
So here not transfer 16 stones to the palace storage and then retrieve them from the pier, but 16 x one stone and then to the pier each time.
Gives 16x return to RP and goods!

This also works in the village with the quarry and the forester's hut (when the corresponding store is full).

In general:
It's better to pick up a small amount from the producing buildings often than a large one at once!

Catch up supply truck faster

Race - supply trolley.PNG It takes 100 miles per day to catch up with the supply truck in the race.
But there is a trick (or is it a bug?) to do it with half the miles:
  • You have to cover 50 miles in one day (regardless of whether you log-in one time or, for example, once in the morning and once/twice in the evening).
  • If you have reached 50 miles, then log off and on again.
("Sh*t! I didn't count and I don't know how many miles I've already clocked up..."
→ no problem! This can be recognized by the fact that the S-truck can be MAXIMUM 50 miles away!)
  • After the new log-in, go to the race through Italy again and the S-truck will roll towards you emoticon

Water

Water.png
Water is required for a lot of goods that can be produced (especially in the beginner's area).
If you don't have "big brothers" in the guild who supply you with water, you have to get it yourself.
' My' play style is very XP-related, which means that I try to get the best XP possible with every action in the game.
That's why I avoid the well in the village!
The well is the only place in the game where there is NO XP for food used! Earn TWO XP per click in the Oasis in Egypt! Although less water (only about 20-25% chance of success), but double the XPs per food.

Another point that everyone has to decide for themselves:
What is more important to me: XP optimization or "safe" water...

One time quests

There are some quests where it's not immediately obvious what needs to be done to achieve the achievement.

Here is an explanation for four of them:

Master Strategist

Win a fight where your chances of winning are slim to none
This means that the chance of winning a fight is MAXIMUM 4%!

Unlucky

Losing a fight with high odds
For this success, the chance of winning must be higher than 90%!

Roman Fright

Battle and drive out all Romans in range
For this achievement, all patrols in GAUL must be defeated.
Also the patrols behind the bridge and the ambushes (which are sometimes hard to see)!
The patrols in Egypt are not relevant for this achievement!

Hidden Boar

Wait for the hidden wild boar
The hidden boar will appear if the notification hint is left for 30 seconds after reaching a new village level.

As soon as the wild boar can be seen, the hint (the popup) can be closed and the achievement is fulfilled.
