General

Currently (September 2022) there are three tournaments that can be played at Asterix & Friends:

Each tournament has a duration of two weeks, starting on a Monday at 00:00 and ending on the Sunday after next at 23:59 CET.

The Race through Italy and the Centurion Punch start at the same time and the Village Brawl a week later. So every Sunday night there is either the end of the village brawl or the end of the race and the centurion punch.

Village brawl

As the name suggests, the Village Brawl is about challenging other villages to fights and winning points. Points are accumulated over the two weeks of the tournament. These points are carried forward into the next two week tournament except when the village is in one of the gold leagues at the end of the tournament.

The villages and guilds are grouped into corresponding leagues based on the number of points. These range from the wood league (the lowest) to the stone, bronze, silver and gold leagues. All leagues are divided into three levels (1, 2, 3) for single players. This tripartite division does not exist for the guild rating, but the naming of the leagues is identical.

Depending on which league the village is in at the end of the tournament, it will receive different Tournament Rewards, which increase the higher the league is positioned.

At the end of the tournament, the villages in the gold leagues are demoted back to the starting value of the next lower league. There is no demotion from the silver league down.

Reaching the gold league 1 (250,000 points) is also the fulfillment of an achievement ("Gold-Plated Brawler").

Race through Italy

The Race through Italy is not about competing head-to-head with other villages. The aim here is to cover as many miles as possible in order to achieve better rankings. It is therefore an indirect competition with the other villages for the best positions in the race.

During the race, up to eight towns are passed through, where the villages can exchange goods for Specialties. The specialties, in turn, can be exchanged with Obelix for Victory Wreaths, which are needed to level up the heroes. Since the Victory Wreaths are mandatory for leveling up, participating in the race is essential if heroes are to be leveled up.

In the race, there is a three-stage achievement for each city ("Reach the city 1, 5, 15 times"), as well as a three-stage achievement for reaching certain positions (top 500, top 50, top 1). As with the brawl, there is also a guild rating in addition to the individual rating.

The rewards for the miles earned can be looked up in the Rewards section.

Centurion Punch

The Centurion Punch, like the race, is an indirect competition with other villages.

The aim here is to throw a centurion as often and above all as far as possible. The miles traveled are converted into points (miles divided by 2). It is possible to optimize the score by directly hitting the 80 Roman camps given on the world map. 25 points and a one-off bonus of 5% on the points are credited for each camp hit. The percentage points can be accumulated, so it is possible to get a maximum bonus of 400% (80 camps x 5%).

Centurion Punch has a three-tiered achievement that is solved by achieving certain placements (500th, 50th, and 1st place). However, the top 1 place is only possible through the immense use of Roman Helmets (and thus real money) and an enormous amount of time (see also Tips for the Centurion Punch).

There is also an individual and a guild rating for centurion throwing.

The rewards for the points achieved can be looked up in the Centurion Punch Rewards section.
