General

house boxingring.png

The boxing ring is the meeting place for the traditional village brawls.

Required level: 8

Building costs: 90 Sesterces, 6 Straw, 4 Stone

Attack

When attacking, 3 villagers must be selected as attackers and a wager (goods) must be selected. To strengthen the villagers for battle, they can also be equipped with a weapon and/or a potion. When you click on "Accept" the fight begins. The battle is automatic - once started, there is no way to influence the battle. If you win, your bet will be returned twice. If you lose, it goes to the defender. However, it is possible to buy back the lost goods at a reduced rate by using Roman helmets. Due to a software bug this possibility was (temporarely?) removed.

Every fight, no matter what the outcome, has the possibility that there will be additional drops as a reward. These include anti-Roman weapons and materials to craft them, boxing ring potions, and boxing ring weapons.

There is also the possibility to swap the opponent and get a new one assigned. It can be swapped as often as you like, but this costs more and more sesterces as the number increases:

1. swap: 100 Sesterces
2. swap: 200 Sesterces
3. swap: 500 Sesterces
4. swap: 700 Sesterces
5. swap: 1,000 Sesterces
Each further swap: 1,000 Sesterces

Defense

3 villagers must be selected for defense. These can be equipped with weapons and/or potions. A change in the list of residents is possible at any time. After your own village is attacked and the battle is lost, the village gains an 8-hour shield. During this time, the village cannot be attacked again. If your village wins in defense, no shield is created and the village can be attacked again immediately. This applies until a fight is lost and gets the protective shield. In addition, the following protective shields can be purchased in the market, which extend the current protection by the specified time:

icon pvp shield wood.png
protective shield Wood: 08 h (Cost: 89 Roman Helmets)
icon pvp shield bronze.png
protective shield Bronze: 16 h (Cost: 119 Roman Helmets)
icon pvp shield silver.png
protective shield Silver: 48 h (Cost: 199 Roman Helmets)
icon pvp shield gold.png
protective shield Gold: 72 h (Cost: 269 Roman Helmets)

Attention: It should be noted that the protective shield expires as soon as your own village attacks another, even if a shield was bought!

Weapons

Some weapons can be crafted in the production buildings in the village or in Alexandria. Some are only craftable during certain events. Others can only be bought from the merchant Ekonomikrisis for Sesterces. And there are those that are only available from the Level Quests.

A full list of weapons can be found in the Weapons for the Boxing ring section.

Potions

Like the weapons for the boxing ring, these increase the characteristics of the villagers. However, apart from a few exceptional cases, they only have a durability of 1 and only strengthen one specific character trait. Most potions come in three sizes: small, medium, and large. These can be brewed at Statistix and in the Druid Circle, as well as at certain Events in other production buildings.

A full list of potions can be found in the Potions section.

Downgrade

Tournaments begin bi-weekly on a Monday at 00:00. They have a duration of exactly 14 days (i.e. until Sunday 23:59). After that, a new tournament begins immediately. Be aware that daylight saving time reduces / expands the duration.

After each tournament ends, the league is downgraded:

from Gold 1 to the beginning of Gold 2

from Gold 2 to the beginning of Gold 3

from gold 3 to beginning silver 1

All leagues below Gold 3 remain without downgrades.

In a weekend of beatings, the points gained count double. The doubling applies to both attack and defense. In the event of a loss, the deduction of points is NOT doubled.

With each victorious battle, there are other rewards in addition to the double stake.

These consist of:

  • 1 to 3 XP
  • 13 to 38 Sesterzes
  • 3 Resistance points
  • 12 to 20 Guild points

The amount is not dependent on the "level" of victory. There are also no visible dependencies between the individual rewards.

Tournament Rewards

After two weeks the tournament ends and a new one begins. Depending on which league the village or guild is in, there are different rewards. One is for guild placement and is awarded to each guild member. The second is the one dependent on each player individually. The rewards come as messages in the mailbox. The single reward also appears after logging in and until now must be claimed immediately (resulting in an empty inbox message).

In order to qualify for the tournament rewards of the currently active tournament, a village must have attacked at least one other village within the specified 2 weeks. Please note that being attacked by another village does not' qualify for tournament rewards.
