General

Getafix, a venerable druid from Gaul, is the creator and keeper of the secret magic potion. He is a supporter of pacifism and stands for many humanistic values. He firmly rejects the brute force of the authoritarian Roman Empire. He accordingly refuses to serve any magic potion, except to annoy Romans! Quote: "No, Obelix, not you!"

Getafix appears only in Egypt.

His only function is to brew his magic potion.

Getafix Potion

The druid Getafix can brew his magic potion in exchange for resources. For this he needs 12 hours and then 120 hours break until you can order the next potion. For the potion you need 6 - in rare cases only 5 - ingredients, which vary from the following assortment:

• 1 to 4 mushroom, salt or parsley
• 1 to 5 lobster, crab, oyster or fish
• 1 to 4 mistletoe
• 2 to 5 water
• 2 to 4 rabbit or chicken
• 1 to 4 rock oil or beetroot

The potion can be used

• on Pointandclix, so that he is invincible for 3 fights - like Asterix or Obelix. This increases the current strength by 50.
• on Egyptian workers building palaces. This works for 1 hour and increases the workers performance tenfold. The crocodiles are excluded - i.e. even if all three crocodiles are present, the performance of the workers is still increased tenfold.

If the potion is used on the workers and the resources can be used optimally, the result is that a collapsed palace can be rebuilt in about 13 hours.

The best strategy to use the potion of Getafix to build the palace

Brew his potion (reminder: 12 hours crafting time). Once the potion is ready, fill up the resources in the palace to the maximum (30 at a time). Drive away all crocodiles. Make sure all workers are happy and working. Use his potion for 1 hour to increase worker productivity. Getafix now has a 5 day break before brewing the next potion. Repeat this process as many times as necessary until the palace is finally completed. If the workers can work at 1,000%, each use of the potion should yield around 50,000 production points. With the potion, the palace should be built within 3-4 weeks.

The best strategy to use the potion of Getafix to repair the palace

Once the palace is complete, craft Getafix's potion. At the very least, it must be done within the first week of completing the palace. But if it is made, once the palace is finished, it cannot be forgotten. When the potion is ready, the potion container will float over Getafix's cauldron. DO NOT USE YET! Even though the potion is floating there, the 5-day break has already started.

If the palace needs repairs, fill up the resources to the maximum and then make sure all the workers are happy and working. The crocodiles can be eliminated later since the workers are not afraid of them due to the magic potion. Then use the potion for 1 hour to reach 1,000% productivity. Immediately after using it, start making the next potion. Unlike using the potion to build the palace, there is no need to wait for the break now, since the potion was made within the first week after the palace was completed (right?!), and it's already done.

Keep an eye on productivity as a worker may become lazy, a crocodile may return, or the palace may run out of resources. Fix these issues immediately when they occur.

Duration of palace construction

Sample calculation for an optimal course.

Precondition:

• at any time all crocodiles are eliminated
• There are always enough goods of all three raw materials in the palace
• all 5 workers are constantly at work in the palace
• Getafix will start brewing the second potion immediately after administering the potion to the workers

Calculation basis:

• Points per minute WITH potion: 750
• Points per minute without a potion: 75

With this, 45,000 points can be achieved with magic potion in the first hour.
In the eleven hours that follow without the magic potion, 49,500 points are achieved.
In total: 94,500 points
This means that 25,500 points are missing to complete it.
If the second potion is served after exactly twelve hours, the palace will be ready after another 34 minutes.

So, if things go well, it's possible to rebuild the palace in 13:34 hours!
