Patrols in front of camps
Camp patrols are legionnaires who are posted around the village as individuals and come in three (up to five) strengths. The strength can be seen in the figure of the Romans (small, fat or large).
From October 2017, a dependency of the strength of the patrols on the village level was introduced.

Every patrols always belongs to a specific camp and strengthen it. When a patrol is removed, the strength of the camp also decreases (see Combat Outpost).
When a patrol is located near forests, rocks, fields, fishing grounds and boars this patrol will block it. When certain parts are guarded by two patrols, both have to be removed in order to get the resources.
The patrols have an internal timer. If this expires after the patrol is removed, a patrol will randomly return to an empty spot. As a result, it is quite possible that after a patrol has been removed, another will appear in the same place after a short time. The strength of the legionnaires can also vary, but all three forms of strength are possible in a few places. When a legion arrives in the village, all patrols return to their places.
Ambushes
Are a type of patrol that come randomly while cutting down forests. Currently (August '22) there is still a display error with the ambushes: instead of a correct higher strength (e.g.: 35) a strength of 20 is displayed. This can lead to an attack with strength 39 (and thus 100% chance of victory with strength 20) losing the fight, since a strength of 54 is necessary for 100% chance of victory.
Like normal patrols, the ambushes can block forests, boar tracks and access to resources. A special feature is that they can also prevent access to the druid's circle and the forester's hut and stop their production as if there were a Camp in front of it. However, they do not affect the camps themselves, which can appear after their timer. An exception is the Fog Event, where the ambushes are deactivated, but six glowing patrols are added.
Glowing Patrols
Are a special type of 13-28 strength patrols that only appear during the Fog Events. An additional 6 patrols are added around the village, mainly blocking further forests and boar tracks. These give the special Luminous Substance when defeated successfully. Two new Glowing Patrols will return after two hours. However, it is faster when a legion reaches the village, because then, as with the other patrols, all the places are occupied again.
Rewards
There is a small reward for successfully fighting the patrols. In addition to the standard rewards (see table), random Roman Sandals, Wine and Cervisia Barrels, small and medium potions and Roman Helmets can also be added.
