The production cycle of the Tavern is 45 minutes. This means that every 45 minutes new sesterce are generated and added to the amount that can be collected by the player (up to the maximum capacity).
 
The base sesterce generation per cycle is 240. It can be increased by certain building upgrade levels and decorations (see below).
 
Selling wares (drop items and crafted meals) in the merchandise slots increases the sesterce generation for a certain amount of time.

||The system actually works in a way, that an item, that is added as merchandise, will grant its bonus sesterce with the next "tick(s)" (end of cycles). For example: the timer (when hovering over the building) indicates that the current cycle ends in 5 minutes ("+x in 00:05:00"). If you add a beetroot to the merchandise slot now, you will gain the additional 90 sesterce in 5 minutes when the current cycle is over.
