The Fish Market, like the Butcher and Tavern, is a Market building. It generates sesterce over time up to its maximum capacity. Sesterces need to be collected manually by the player. Selling certain drop items or dishes (that can be crafted in the Market buildings) increases the speed of sesterce gain. The maximum capacity is increased at certain upgrade levels of the Fish Market (and by one of the two decorations).

The Fish Market is available to build at level 16.

Cost to build: 2400 sesterce, 8 stone blocks, 22 straw, 20 wood, 8 wooden planks

Initial capacity: 900 sesterce

Merchandise

The production cycle of the Fish Market is 30 minutes. This means that every 30 minutes new sesterce are generated and added to the amount that can be collected by the player (up to the maximum capacity).

The base sesterce generation per cycle is 63. It can be increased by certain building upgrade levels and decorations (see below).

Selling wares (drop items and crafted meals) in the merchandise slots increases the sesterce generation for a certain amount of time. At the end of the last cycle, the merchandise item is consumed.

The system actually works in a way that an item added as merchandise will grant its bonus sesterce with the next "tick(s)" (end of cycles). For example: the timer indicates that the current cycle ends in 5 minutes ("+x in 00:05:00"). If you add a smelly fish to the merchandise slot now, you will gain an additional 20 sesterce in 5 minutes when the current cycle is over and another 20 sesterce in 35 minutes.

Decorations

File:Market_fully_decorated_fish_market_400x400.png  The Fish Market, like all production buildings, has two decoration slots: one decoration can be purchased for sesterce, the other for Roman Helmets. Apart from upgrading the look of your building, the decorations provide valuable bonuses.
