Foreword

All the texts of the various chapters are available in this area. Both the successful and the failed.

So that - if the chapters have not yet been played through - the tension is maintained, the texts are folded for the time being.

Chapter 1 Off to Cauca!
The bandits told the Gauls that Pepe and the nomad girl appear to have left for Cauca. For Toutatis’ sake, what are they doing there? However, our heroes don't have time to worry about it. It's a long way and who knows what could have happened to the children!
Success Fail
How fortunate that the streets of Hispania are packed with tourists at this time of year! A nice family from Britain takes our heroes along to Cauca in their moving house. That saved them a few hours of walking! The way to Cauca is longer and more exhausting than the Gauls had imagined. The air is so thick and hot that it could be cut with a butter knife and the sun burns the hair off the heads of our heroes. They have to take a lot of breaks, otherwise, they would collapse in the heat. Like this, it will take them ages to reach Cauca!
Chapter 2 Chaos in Cauca
After arriving in Cauca, the Gauls and Huevos Y Bacon notice that the lively celebrations are taking place here as well. The streets are overflowing with locals and tourists, celebrating. Maybe someone saw Pepe and the girl in this hustle and bustle?
Success Fail
At first it seems hopeless to find anyone in this bustling city who could have seen Pepe, but a souvenir seller actually remembers a little boy who held his breath until an older Gothic couple took him and a girl along to Segovia in their moving house. Lets go! Nobody saw a little, feisty boy and a nomad girl in Cauca. Everyone is way too busy with the festivities to pay attention to strangers. Oh dear, what now?
Chapter 3 Horsepower!
Segovia is far, far away and our Gauls can hardly walk all the way. The best would be to organize a chariot from the local rental company. Hopefully they still can get hold of one, since it's not uncommon to be out of stock during the tourist season!
Success Fail
Luck is on the side of the Gauls. Even though Cauca is overrun by tourists, they find a chariot rental shop that still has a fancy sports chariot left. With that, they will surely get to Segovia in no time! There is no more time to waste. Oh dear, all the chariot rental shops in Cauca are slamming their doors in the Gauls faces. “Everything sold out!” - " Nothing left!" - "Come back tomorrow!" There doesn't seem to be a single rental chariot left in town and the Gauls are at their wits' end. How are they supposed to get to Segovia now?
Chapter 4 Segovia, here we come!
With plenty of hay and a strong horse, the Gauls and Huevos Y Bacon start their journey in the direction of Segovia! The worried father is still wondering what kind of crazy adventure his son has started. Hopefully, they will find little Pepe in Segovia!
Success Fail
Our heroes arrive in Segovia without any problems. In a sports chariot, they travel faster and agile, also they can enjoy the headwind and the admirable Hispanic landscape. By Teutates, after a few miles, the sports chariot starts rattling until a wheel jumps off! What kind of scrap did our heroes rent? They cannot move any further like this.
Chapter 5 Searching in Segovia
Just like Pompaelo and Cauca, Segovia is in a lively mood. A lot of people gather to watch the traditional parade of the Hispanic druids carrying healing herbs through the streets of the city. The Gauls and Huevos Y Bacon split up to ask as many as possible about Pepe.
Success Fail
“¿Hombre, is that you, Huevos Y Bacon? I just saw your boy!" - What a coincidence - the Hispanic chief has met an old comrade who's spending the holidays in Segovia. He tells the heroes about Pepe and the nomad girl who wanted to hitchhike to Helmantica, but the boy refused to explain why. Our heroes comb through the city for hours, interviewing hundreds of people, but nobody in Segovia can remember seeing Pepe. What a dilemma... How are our heroes supposed to find out where the hot-headed boy is?
Chapter 6 Proceed o Helmantica!
What on earth does the boy want in Helmantica? Slowly but surely, the Gauls and Huevos Y Bacon are getting less worried about Pepe and more curious about the shenanigans the cheeky boy is up to. He doesn't seem to be in trouble - at least not yet. Will they find him in Helmantica?
Success Fail
When our heroes make a short stop on their way to Helmantica to stock up on hay, some shady characters are trying to steal their fancy sports chariot. Well, not on these Gauls' watch! They punch the wanna-be muggers on the nose a couple of times and continue their journey to Helmantica without any further problems. Oh dear, a rope is suddenly being stretched in the middle of the road and the Gauls have no time to react. The fancy sports chariot breaks and our heroes end up in the dust. Before they can get up again, a horde of muggers has grabbed all their belongings and are up and away. Well, that didn’t work out as planned!
Chapter 7 Hints in Helmantica?
In Helmantica the celebrations are also in full swing and the city is bursting at the seams! How are our heroes supposed to find two little children in this chaos? Assuming the two children are still in Helmantica at all ... you never know! So the Gauls and Huevos Y Bacon plunge into the crowd.
Success Fail
Nobody in Helmantica seems to have seen Pepe. However, a tourist couple who has just arrived remembers seeing a little boy and a girl in Corduba, who fit the description of the Gauls. Well, slowly but surely our heroes and Huevos Y Bacon are getting seriously annoyed! Pepe's trail vanishes in Helmantica - Everybody claims they haven’t seen the boy. Most people are so captivated by the festivities that they don't even notice our Gauls. Damn it! How are they supposed to find Pepe now?
Chapter 8 Corduba!
"¡As soon as we catch the boy, he’s in for it, hombre!" First Pompaelo, then Cauca, then Segovia, then Helmantica and now Corduba too? What is Pepe up to? What is his goal? The Gauls follow the little boy from one town to the next, always one step behind. Will they ever catch up?
Success Fail
Oh dear, the constant traveling back and forth wears our heroes' sports chariot out, and as they drive over a pothole, an axle breaks. However, as luck would have it, the Gauls stopped right next to a chariot repair shop! All spare parts are available and our heroes can continue their journey immediately. Due to the constant traveling back and forth, the axle of the chariot breaks when the Gauls fail to notice a pothole. The nearby chariot repair shop doesn't have any spare parts in stock and would have to order them first, which may take days!
Chapter 9 Cold trail in Corduba?
Of course, how could it be any different? Corduba is also celebrating and completely out of control. People from far and wide come to town to attend the Hispanic festivities while our Gauls and Huevos Y Bacon keep their eyes open for Pepe. Will they finally find him in Corduba?
Success Fail
It seems that Pepe made a lasting impression in Corduba. A tavern landlady remembers the little boy who wanted to go to Hispalis because of an aurochs fight being held in honor of Caesar, who is visiting Hispania again after a long time. Oh dear, oh dear, what is Pepe up to? Our heroes have to hurry before the boy gets caught up in even more fooleries. At first, luck seems to be on our Gauls side. Dozens of people remember to have seen Pepe and the nomad girl, but in the end, no one knows where the two went. Even after the Gauls and Huevos Y Bacon have searched all of Corduba, they can't find the children. What a mess...
