Foreword
All the texts of the various chapters are available in this area. Both the successful and the failed.
So that - if the chapters have not yet been played through - the tension is maintained, the texts are folded for the time being.

Chapter 1 | Let's fight! |
The sun is already low on the horizon when the huge army of the Corsican clans gathers in front of Aleria. Roman soldiers with trembling knees stay guard at the gates of the city. “Attaaaaack!” The battlecry echoes through the air and the Gauls and Corsicans dash off! In all this mess, our Gaulish heroes must be careful not to trip and be trampled over! | |
Success | Fail |
---|---|
Our Gaulish heroes benefit from years of fighting against the Romans. Without any problems, they slip through the ranks and rows of the Corsicans and rush to the head of the army to lead the attack. |
In the mess that suddenly breaks out, our Gauls get thoroughly shaken and can't tell up from down anymore. Woozy and weary, they escape to the edge of the wild mob. They need to take a breather first. |
Chapter 2 | Pit trap |
Oh no, what is that? It appears like the Romans have prepared for the attack and dug a long pit in front of the city! Now the Gauls have to react quickly since it is already too late to stop. Three, two, one, and jump! | |
Success | Fail |
The Romans have to come up with something smarter! A little hop and our Gaulish heroes land safely on the other side of the trench. They keep on running and roaring, making the Roman hearts skip a beat! | Well, that didn't work! The Gauls notice the trap too late - one after another they tumble into the pit. Every bone in their bodies hurts from the hard impact and it takes them a long time to climb out again. |
Chapter 3 | Pila attack |
The Romans reach for their pila, take a run, and throw the javelins into the air. They're flying straight at our Gaulish heroes! Hopefully, they will be able to dodge them in time and bring their Corsican comrades to safety! | |
Success | Fail |
Left, right, left, right! Our Gauls twist and turn like rabbits and dodge the spears with ease! In a brief moment of horror, it looks like Boneywasawarriorwayayix is about to get pierced by a javelin, but our Gaulish heroes manage to pull him aside at the last second! | Narrowly, the Gauls escape the pelting javelins, but advancing any further is far too dangerous and so they have to retreat, for better or worse. What a mess! |
Chapter 4 | Gaulish-Corsican-Roman brawl |
Now nothing stands between our Gaulish heroes and the Roman soldiers! Swords get drawn, clubs swung and jackknives unfolded. Romans, Gauls, and Corsicans collide into one big mess! Will the Romans withstand this attack? | |
Success | Fail |
Everywhere you look, it's raining Romans! A heavy hook to the chin here, a hard kick in the butt there - our Gauls are on fire! They are just about to spank a centurion when the remaining Roman soldiers voluntarily surrender to the overwhelming force of the Corsicans. | By Toutatis! Even with the Corsicans at their side, the Gauls could not oppose the superior forces of the Romans. Defeated, they have to withdraw. |
Chapter 5 | Barricated gates |
The Romans are defeated, but oh dear, they have barricaded the gates of the city with everything they could find! Boards, boxes, and carts are now blocking the way for our Gaulish heroes. Will they be able to break through the barricade in time to stop Perfidius from leaving? | |
Success | Fail |
The barricade is heavier than it looks. The Gauls alone can't burst through but, with the help of their Corsican friends, they remove it in no time and rush into the streets of Aleria. | Even with the help of their Corsican friends, the Gauls barely manage to break the barricade of the Romans. When they finally make it through, it already seems too late to stop Praetor Perfidius' ship. |
Chapter 6 | Race against time |
As fast as their legs can carry them, the Gauls and Corsicans rush through the winding streets of Aleria. The few Romans who cross their path fly over the roofs of the city just seconds later. Will they make it to the port fast enough? | |
Success | Fail |
Inspired by their thirst for action, our Gaulish heroes rush forward like the wind. By a lucky coincidence, they find a shortcut and reach the port much faster than expected. | On their way, our Gaulish heroes run out of breath and all they can do is scuff forward. They will never get to the port in time like this! |
Chapter 7 | Stubborn pirates |
Oh no! When the Gauls reach the port, Praetor Perfidius' ship is about to leave with all the stolen Corsican loot on board! And it gets worse: Apparently, the Romans hired the pirates to fight by their side. A race against time begins! Will our Gaulish heroes be able to fight their way to the ship? | |
Success | Fail |
"The Ga-, the Ga-, the Ga-, the Gaaaaaauuuls again!" As soon as the pirates discover our Gaulish heroes, they flee. They definitely don't want to mess with them a third time! This allows the Gauls to rush through the port and jump onto Perfidius' ship with a giant leap! | Those darned pirates are a persistent nuisance! Together with the Romans they actually manage to keep the Gauls in check until Perfidius' ship is out of range! What now? |
Chapter 8 | Gutless Praetor |
Perfidius is shocked when the Gauls suddenly jump onto his ship with one big leap! He immediately rushes to the lower decks and barricades the door. Now the Gauls have to defeat his Praetorian guard and get Perfidius back on land! | |
Success | Fail |
The Gauls defeat Perfidius' guard in no time and follow the Praetor inside the ship, where they find him shivering and hiding behind some boxes. With a good kick to his butt, our Gaulish heroes send Perfidius back to the mainland, where a fierce crowd of Corsicans awaits him. | Exhausted from their attack on Aleria, our Gaulish heroes fail to defeat Perfidius' guard and have to flee into the water. Oh dear, the Corsican loot is sailing away! |
Chapter 9 | Against the cliffs |
All's well that ends well? As if! Out of sheer fear, the Roman helmsman jumps overboard. Now the ship is heading straight for the Corsican cliffs, right about to crash into the rock! Our Gaulish heroes can't allow that to happen. Will they be able to turn the ship around at the last minute and save the Corsican loot? | |
Success | Fail |
At the last moment, the Gauls pull the wheel around and bring the ship and Corsican loot safely back to the port of Aleria. There they are greeted by a cheering crowd of Corsicans! Praetor Perfidius is defeated once more, the loot saved and Corsica is once more liberated from the Romans. It's time for a feast! | The Gauls try their best, but they can't turn the ship away from the cliffs. At the last moment, they save themselves by jumping into the water and watch as the ship and its supplies crash into the Corsican cliffs! |
And so Corsica was liberated once more with the help of our brave Gaulish heroes! Praetor Perfidius traveled back to Rome and was greeted by a furious Caesar. Rumors say Perfidius was removed into the most remote part of Greece, others say they saw him in the Colosseum! As usual, our friends returned to their village and were greeted with a banquet under the stars. Telling the great story of their recent adventure, they start dreaming about the many journeys that possibly lie ahead! |
