Chapter 1 On the way to the meeting
It's a long way to the meeting point, where our Gauls and Boneywasawarriorwayayix want to discuss with the other clan chiefs how to proceed. They should hurry if they want to reach Aleria that very evening and prevent Perfidius from sailing away with the Corsican loot!
Success Fail
Inspired by their victory against the Romans in Boneywasawarriorwayayix’s village, the Gauls traverse the Marquis without further issues and soon reach the Corsican mountains where the meeting will take place. In fact, they went so fast that there was even time for a short break! Completely exhausted from their fight against the Romans, the Gauls make their way to the meeting point. The hot climate of the island and the high mountains give them a hard time and so they take much longer than expected.
Chapter 2 Oink, oink, oink
According to Boneywasawarriorwayayix, the clan chiefs want to meet in a nearby cave, but apparently, none is in sight. Our Gaulish heroes have to keep their eyes and ears open so that they can find the cave entrance and not miss the meeting!
Success Fail
"Oink, oink, oink!" Boneywasawarriorwayayix identifies what our Gauls would have mistaken for pig noises as the disguised calls of the other clan chiefs. Finding the cave is easy now! "Oink, oink, oink!" What our Gauls assume to be the camouflaged calls of the other Corsican clan chiefs turns out to be a horde of wild pigs! How embarrassing. Our Gaulish heroes were on the wrong track.
Chapter 3 Hungry Corsicans
When the Gauls and Boneywasawarriorwayayix arrive in the cave, they notice the discouraged look on many faces. The clan chiefs report that their men are weakened, because the Romans have stolen their supplies. They can't fight against Perfidius in their current state. A feast must be arranged for the Corsican warriors, so they can regain their strength!
Success Fail
A feast? Coming up! After all, preparing feasts is a specialty of our Gaulish heroes and they get to work right away! In no time they have hunted a dozen wild pigs, which are now being fried over a campfire until they're nice and crispy. In one moment the Corsican forest was full of wild pigs, in the other, not a single one is to be seen. The experience of years of boar hunting doesn't help our Gauls either. How are they supposed to fill the growling stomachs of the Corsicans now?
Chapter 4 A delicious soup
A slice of delicious roast pork is not the only thing that can revive tired muscles and so the druids want to join forces to brew a soup to strengthen their warriors in battle. Our Gaulish heroes set out to collect the ingredients.
Success Fail
A mistletoe here, a little mint there, and soon the Gauls have gathered all the ingredients for the druids' strengthening soup. Bubbling and steaming, the soup simmers in the cauldron and produces such a pleasant smell that our heroes mouths are watering. Even though our Gauls know their way around boar hunting, collecting herbs is not their strong suit. They return from the forest empty-handed.
Chapter 5 Corsican Cheese
To fire up the Romans, Boneywasawarriorwayayix suggests a famous Corsican specialty: Corsican cheese! The Romans will definitely not be able to resist its explosive aroma, in the truest meaning of the word! However, the cheeses have to be transported with a steady hand. Otherwise, their aroma could develop faster than our Gauls would like to!
Success Fail
The Gauls show a steady hand and balance a whole bunch of cheese loaves without wavering a single time, despite the intense smell that makes their toes curl! Our Gaulish heroes prove to have a strong stomach. Even though our Gaulish heroes can fight the Romans all day long, they have to surrender once they sniff a Corsican cheese. Being incapacitated, they are of no help in the fight against Perfidius!
Chapter 6 The art of diplomacy
The Corsicans regain their strength with food and drink, but a heated discussion breaks out during the feast: Who will lead the attack on Aleria? Every chief wants to claim the leadership for himself. Perhaps our Gaulish heroes can calm the quarrels a little and find a solution before the jackknives get drawn!
Success Fail
The Gauls keep it cool and are able to convince the Corsicans to put their quarrels aside. They suggest resolving the leadership question with the help of a proven Gaulish tradition: A good, fair brawl! That will be fun! Despite their best efforts, the Gauls fail to convince the Corsicans to put their disputes aside. The clan chiefs refuse to listen to tourists! How are they supposed to find a solution now?
Chapter 7 Trial of strength
The clan chiefs get ready for a trial of strength. Neither jackknives nor cheese are allowed, only pure muscle strength counts! Is that an advantage for our Gaulish heroes? Either way, they'll be waving their fists in the competition! Now roll up your sleeves and get into the fray!
Success Fail
The Gauls are in their element and immediately feel at home! There's nothing like an old-fashioned brawl to resolve problems and disputes. Ultimately - how could it be any different - our Gaulish heroes emerge victorious from the competition! Our Gaulish heroes vastly underestimated the clan chiefs. Even without a jackknife some of them prove to be seasoned warriors with a trick or two up their sleeves. The Gauls have to admit defeat, for better or worse.
Chapter 8 Stubborn stubborn heads
Although the Gauls emerged victorious from the brawl, they let Boneywasawarriorwayayix take the lead. Only a true Corsican should lead other Corsicans into battle! A few of the other chiefs, however, don't seem particularly enthusiastic and cause turmoil among the others. Can our Gaulish heroes keep things calm while Boneywasawarriorwayayix presents his plan of attack?
Success Fail
While Boneywasawarriorwayayix presents his plan of attack to the other chiefs, the Gauls support him, and the turmoil quickly subsides. Even the last stubborn chief realizes that Boneywasawarriorwayayix is the best choice. In the end, everyone seems to agree and is highly motivated to teach Praetor Perfidius a second lesson. This time for good! Some chiefs turn out to be more stubborn than a mule. Despite losing the competition, they refuse to accept that Boneywasawarriorwayayix is in charge. Despite the Gaulish efforts to keep it calm, they keep disrupting the war council. In the end, no one understood the plan. What a shame!
Chapter 9 There must be order.
Finally, the time has come! All the clan chiefs are convinced and the Corsican warriors gather. With so many die-hard fellows in one place, however, tempers quickly flare and our Gaulish heroes are busy to keep things in order. No one wants fights to break out among the various clans!
Success Fail
With the help of the Gauls, Boneywasawarriorwayayix succeeds in bringing order into the ranks of the various clans. Disputes are postponed until the next day and jack-knives get sharpened. The Corsicans are ready for battle! Some clans just don't want to bury their feuds. The Gauls are unable to stop them and a huge, uncontainable tussle breaks out. Oh dear, there is no way they can launch their attack on Aleria.
