Foreword

All the texts of the various chapters are available in this area. Both the successful and the failed.

So that - if the chapters have not yet been played through - the tension is maintained, the texts are folded for the time being.

Chapter 1 Hide and seek
In the middle of the preparations to liberate Boneywasawarriorwayayix’s village from the Roman occupation, there is a knock on the door. Geez! The Romans demand entry to search the house. Hurry up now! The Gauls must find a good hiding spot as quickly as possible so that they won't get caught.
Success Fail
The Gauls and Boneywasawarriorwayayix quickly climb into the attic, just in time for the Romans to rumble through the door. They are about to start turning the whole house upside down but are stopped by the ever vigilant Carferrix. Always having his jackknife ready should a Roman dare to approach his sister, he intimidates the Romans so much that they leave quickly. Lucky Gauls! In panic, our Gauls frantically scramble to hide under the table, but this quickly turns out to be an awkward hiding place when a Roman tries to tie his sandal. Oh dear, that could have gone better! Now the Roman soldiers have found our Gaulish friends.
Chapter 2 Dust allergy
The Romans are just about to leave Carferrix’s house when one of our Gaulish heroes gets a speck of dust into their nose and a loud ACHOO! emerges from the attic. Immediately the Romans stop on the doorstep and begin to inspect the house again. Now the Gauls have to come up with something as quickly as possible!
Success Fail
When the Romans try to search the attic, one of them makes the fatal mistake of asking Carferrix's sister for a ladder. The Corsican doesn't like to see THAT at all! Is there a Roman interested in Chipolata? Or worse: NOT interested? Before the Romans mess with the grim Carferrix, they prefer to make a quick getaway and stumble outside head over heels! Despite Carferrix’s efforts to distract the Romans and the one or other attempt to intimidate them, they don't stop searching and finally find our Gaulish heroes in the attic. Oh dear, what now?
Chapter 3 One after the other
As soon as the night has settled over the Corsican village, Boneywasawarriorwayayix and the Gauls sneak out of the house and get a general idea of the situation. Oh dear, oh dear, the village is occupied by more Romans than expected! They can't overwhelm them all at once but if they tackle the Romans one by one, they should have a chance. But quietly, please!
Success Fail
The Gauls scurry through the village under the cover of darkness. They are able to overwhelm the first patrol without the Romans raising an alarm. Keep it up! It is not that easy to find your way in the dark. Without their sense of direction, the Gauls hit each other on the nose! The noise attracts the Romans immediately and our Gaulish heroes get discovered. What a pity!
Chapter 4 On quit feet
Before the sleepy Romans even realized what's happening, strange figures had already jumped out of the shadows. With a steep blow on the nose, the Romans get sent back to dreamland. But darn it! Some of their comrades got suspicious. Now our Gauls have to be extra careful!
Success Fail
Before the suspicious Romans can warn their comrades, they find themselves bound and gagged on the outskirts of the village. Our Gaulish heroes did a great job incapacitating almost all Roman soldiers in the village. Oh dear! Some Romans saw the Gauls sneaking around in the dark and alerted their comrades. Now all the soldiers are on high alert - the plan of our Gaulish heroes has failed! What now?
Chapter 5 Reinforcement!
Before the sleepy Romans even realized what's happening, strange figures had already jumped out of the shadows. With a steep blow on the nose, the Romans get sent back to dreamland. But darn it! Some of their comrades got suspicious. Now our Gauls have to be extra careful!

Chapter 6 Into the Maquis
Like the wind, our Gaulish heroes rush into the Maquis with Boneywasawarriorwayayix, the Romans close on their heels! Now it is important to not get lost between the trees in the dark. Easier said than done! Even with Boneywasawarriorwayayix’s expertise, the Gauls find it difficult to navigate in the dark forest at night. Hopefully, they don't lose each other!
Success Fail
After having difficulties at first and with the help of Boneywasawarriorwayayix, our Gaulish heroes find their way through the dense Maquis. Unthinkable how things would have turned out if they got lost! The poor Romans, however, are not so lucky and soon they are wandering around, disoriented. Turn left at the next tree, then go straight ahead to a toadstool and then turn right! No left! Or is it right? Before they know it, the Gauls got hopelessly lost in the Maquis and, to make things worse, lost Boneywasawarriorwayayix as well!
Chapter 7 Cat and mouse
Fortune seems to be on the side of the Gauls! Most Romans blindly stumble through the Maquis, not knowing who is friend or foe! This is the chance for our Gaulish heroes. If they act wisely, they can shake off the last remaining Romans following them.
Success Fail
A rustle, an occasional whisper, a shadow flitting through the darkness. The poor Romans don't know what is happening around them, while our Gaulish heroes are still playing cat and mouse with them in the dense undergrowth of the Maquis. Keep it up! The Gauls seem to have shaken off the Romans and think they are safe enough to take a short break. To pass the time, they tell their best Gaulish jokes, but oh dear! Laughter brings the Romans back on their track!
Chapter 8 Final spurt
When the first rays of sunlight peek shyly over the horizon, the Gauls have finally shaken off the last Romans in the Maquis and return to the village with Boneywasawarriorwayayix. They chase away the remaining Roman soldiers together with the help of the villagers. Hopefully, our Gaulish heroes have enough strength left in them!
Success Fail
Click-clack, click-clack! With their jackknives out, the villagers lend their support to the Gauls. With their help, our Gaulish heroes manage to chase the Romans out of the village. They prefer to make a quick getaway and flee in a hurry than to mess with a horde of angry Corsicans. Oh no! Our Gauls are completely out of breath and can hardly swing a sword anymore. Exhausted, they have to surrender to the Romans. What a mess!
Chapter 9 Time for a war council
After a hearty breakfast, the Gauls and Corsicans put their heads together and discuss how to stop Perfidius. The sheer number of Roman soldiers in Aleria, the seat of the Praetor, is simply too much for our Gaulish heroes to fight them alone. Boneywasawarriorwayayix suggests that the Corsican clans should be reassembled to rout Caesar's henchmen once more!
Success Fail
Boneywasawarriorwayayix sends word to every corner of Corsica, and soon he receives replies from the rest of the clan chiefs. At noon, they want to gather at a secret meeting point and discuss how to proceed. Being in good spirits, the Gauls set out to accompany Boneywasawarriorwayayix to the meeting. Hour after hour passes by, but no answers from the remaining clan chiefs. Did the message get intercepted or lost? Without reinforcements, our Gaulish heroes cannot face the deceitful Perfidius. What should they do now?
