Resistance Points
Resistance Points (RP) are used to level up villagers, unlock Edifis, Ekonomikrisis, or the Egyptian Worker for the boxing ring, buy permanent outposts, and open additional equipment slots for villagers.
The current RP balance is displayed at the top of the screen to the right of the sesterces. RP's should be used wisely as it takes time to earn and a lot of it is needed at higher levels to level up villagers. It is not advisable to spend RP on permanent outposts, Egyptian characters in the boxing ring or additional equipment slots at early levels, but focus on improving the villagers.
This is how RPs are earned
The village earns RP for fighting patrols, camps and legions. The amount of RP gained for attacking a legion is equal to the damage dealt to the legion (as long as the attack was successful), plus any bonuses given by resistance level (see next section) and guild level . Attacking legions can provide a lot of RP over the course of a day.
Two or more outposts generate a small amount of RP.
Village brawls generate a small amount of RP.
Gathering from Quarry/Wooden Hut/Ore Vein/Egyptian Pier generates a small amount of RP.
The palace generates up to 1,200 RP per day when completed and not in need of repair. If it needs to be repaired, it still generates a smaller amount of RP (10% of normal values).
Resistance Level
As RP's are earned, the resistance level will increase over time. This is in the top center of the screen with a thumbnail of a village, with a bar with a Roman moving across (showing how close the next legion is to spawning), and an image of Caesar with a number in a blue circle under him. The number below Caesar is the resistance level. It starts at 0 and Caesar is very smug about it. The maximum resistance level is 10 and at this point Caesar is very angry.
With each level up, rewards are distributed in the form of a type of weapon and a lot of RP. For each level from 1-10, the bonus percentages on the RP income also increase by 2%, up to an additional 20% at resistance level 10. When you mouseover Caesar's face, the current % bonus on RP is displayed and how many RP still need to be earned to reach the next resistance level.
The points required for each resistance level are independent of the RP gained by the player. Rather, it is accumulated strength used when fighting patrols or legions. Therefore, a player receives the same resistance level points regardless of whether a battle is won or lost.
If a legion successfully attacks the village, the resistance level will be reset to zero and the patrols that were previously defeated will respawn. Some players will intentionally let the legions through in order to get the weapons and bonus RP again when the resistance levels are increased again.
